A Drinking club with a running problem!
The Red Dress run is the Edmonton Hash House Harriers biggest annual event with over 200 runners. Male and female runners alike, don red dresses and run (and party) on the premise of supporting a charity. The run is followed by beer drinking, dinner, a charity auction and the ledgendary red dress dance. The 20th annual occurance of this peculiar idiosyncratic event will take place on Saturday April 28th, 2012
Our fundraising will subsidize the production of the play “are we there yet”? If we raise between 15 – 20k, that is enough to fund 4 weeks of performances, with 2 shows a day. This performances are held at schools around Edmonton and in nearby communities. It is “art with a message”. It helps 9th grade students explore and communicate about boundaries, relationships related to sex. It conforms to the Alberta Sex Ed guidelines. As a part of the performance a sex ed teacher travels with the show to answer questions, materials are provided to teachers to support or answer questions after the event. Schools must pay about $400 per session, our funds will offset the remaining costs. Follow this link for more information:
