Charity Selection

Please submit proposals to Mud Vessel at a run or drop in the mailbox at 12636-52 Avenue. Please include the name of a hash contact with each proposal. The committee will be meeting to make a selection. It is not necessary but a representative from the Charity is welcome to make a presentation to the committee at that meeting.

The following criteria have been used in the past to compare the proposals.

- Will the hash/charity have fun with the event?

- Does the charity have a specific project(s) to be funded?

- Ability of the charity to exist with/without our support.

- Impact of our sponsorship on the charity’s bottom line.

- Charity's profile or lack thereof.

- Are hashers already involved in some way with the charity?

- Is the charity willing to work with the Hash before, during and/or after the event?

- The ability of the charity to issue charitable receipts for the donations.

No single item is more important than any other and these are simply guidelines to help compare proposals.
